about me

Rob

I've been taking photos ever since my parents gave me my grandfathers ancient No 2-A Folding Brownie camera when I was about eight. I still have the camera sitting on my desk and remember taking photo's of kangaroos in a national park with it. Over the years I've gathered a significant collection of slides. I also have a rapidly expanding range of digital images. As you may be able to guess, I prefer to behind the camera, not in front of it.

Most of the photos have been taken in South Australia where I lived until January 2006. Then came the move as a family to South East Queensland. There are of course photos taken on trips interstate.
Since moving to Queensland I have begun to experiment with digital and am using a Canon DSLR.

My biggest motivation for photography, apart from a love of nature, is to be able to capture some of the glory of creation and share it with others. For me the words from Psalm 19:1 are important.
"The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship."
